The
Carrara Stadium and Sports Complex is west of Broadbeach, a short
drive from the well known Pacific Fair and Robina shopping centres.

The tournament venue is only 10 minutes to the beach.

September/October is a great time to enjoy a soccer holiday on the Gold
Coast. The weather is at its best with an average temperature of 24degrees
Celsius. It’s true what everyone says "The
weather at this time on the Gold Coast is beautiful one day, perfect the
next."

Tournament
Format
The 2008 Gold Coast Champions Cup will commence with a colourful ‘Olympic
Style’ opening ceremony at the Indoor Stadium at the Carrara Sports
Complex.
Teams are encouraged to bring club flags, banners, or other symbols that
will add colour to the spectacle. The marshalling time for the Tournament
opening ceremony will be advised in due course.

Tournament
Team Coaches/Managers Briefing
All team coaches and managers are required to attend the Tournament briefing
meeting in the Champions Room in the western stand of the Carrara Stadium
on Saturday 27th September. The time of the Tournament coaches and managers
briefing meeting will be advised in due course.

Matches
Participating teams will play a minimum of 4 games during the Tournament.
All games will be played at the Carrara Stadium and Sports Complex.
A tournament program will be included in the Tournament satchel given
to each team in attendance at the Tournament Coaches and Managers briefing
meeting.
Tournament Match Duration
Under 10 years age group: 2x20 minute halves
Under 11 years age group: 2x25 minute halves
Under 12 years age group: 2x30 minute halves
Under 13 years age group: 2x30 minute halves
Under 14 years age group: 2x35 minute halves
Under 15 years age group: 2x40 minute halves
Under 16 years age group: 2x40 minute halves
Under 17 years age group: 2x40 minute halves
Under 18 years age group: 2x45 minute halves
Half Time Interval: 7 minutes.

Entry Fee
The Wallaroo Cup:
Team fee- AUD $450. (age groups 8 and 9 years)
The entry fee includes compulsory insurance for 11 players and 2 team
officials. Additional players or team officials cost an additional $15
per person.
The Gold Coast Champions
Cup:
Team Fee-AUD $800. (age groups 10-18 years)
The entry fee includes compulsory insurance for 14 players and 2 team
officials. Additional players or team officials cost an additional $15
per person.
Tournament Awards
18 trophies will be awarded
for the winners and runners up in each age category.
Tournament Rules
FIFA rules will apply to all matches played in the Tournament.
First
Aid
First Aid will be provided for the duration of the Tournament. The Tournament
First Aid Centre will be located in the western stand of the Carrara stadium.
First Aid outposts will operated from clearly marked stations on the fields
external to the Carrara stadium.
Tournament
Administration
The Tournament administration centre will be located in the western stand
of the Carrara stadium. The Tournament administration centre will be open
from 10.30 am on Saturday 27th September then for the duration of the
Tournament from 8.30am-8.00pm.
All communication related to the Tournament should be directed in the
first instance to the Tournament Administration Centre.
Tournament
Results
The result of games played in the Tournament will be post every day on
the Tournament Notice Board and the Tournament website.
Tournament Dinner
The official Tournament dinner for team coaches/managers and adult supporters
will be held on the evening of the 30th October. The venue and cost will
be advised.
The attendance of at least 2 team officials at the official Tournament
dinner ensures the opportunity to win a set of ATTACK strips designed
specifically for the Gold Coast Champions Cup. ($550). There will be a
set of ATTACK strips given away for each age group in the Tournament.
